How Much Do Custom Polo Shirts Cost With Shipping?

A landed-cost way to price custom polos: what sets the per-piece rate, what freight adds, which duties stay with you, and how to get one quote that shows both lines.

Bulk custom apparel packed in cartons on the factory floor
Short answer: price per polo and shipping are two separate lines, and both should appear in one quote before you pay. The per-piece rate is driven by fabric weight, decoration method and quantity. Freight is quoted per destination and transport mode. Anyone quoting you a single blended number is hiding a decision you should make yourself.
What sets the per-piece price
Fabric weight. 240 GSM reads light and retail; 300 GSM is the premium handfeel most corporate polos sit at; 400 GSM is heavy workwear territory. Heavier knits cost more per piece and per shipment.
Decoration method. Embroidery, screen print, heat transfer and woven labels carry different setup costs. A left-chest embroidery and a full back print are different quotes.

Quantity. Custom apparel production starts at 25 pcs per design. Unit pricing steps down as quantity rises, because setup is amortized across the run.
Branding details. Neck labels, hangtags and branded packaging are small line items that add real work — list them explicitly so they are quoted, not discovered.
What shipping adds
Freight is planned around three inputs: destination, consolidation and mode. One warehouse address ships cheapest. Air freight protects a date; sea freight suits volume where the deadline allows. The route is confirmed per project, not assumed.

Import duties and taxes are charged by your country at import and stay with the importing party. Your supplier should supply the commercial documents the shipment needs — the tax bill itself is never part of the factory price. See

How to get one number
Send four things: garment category, quantity, decoration summary, destination country and date. A serious quote returns two lines — goods and freight — plus the production standard in writing: AQL 2.5 inspection and Pantone-locked color. You can start from the

or review materials first with a
sample kit
from $39.
If your quantity is under 25 pcs, the sample route is the entry point — the options are laid out in
